Argentina

Between the Andes Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean are the world’s best grapes cultivated for wine, free-ranging cattle for tasty filets and a culture of people prideful for this land and culture they call their own. See architecturally stunning buildings, walk in an opera house-turned-bookstore, and join impromptu tango dancing in the street. Whether it's fast-paced city life you crave or quiet nights under tall eucalyptus trees, Argentina has a piece of heaven for you.

In addition to exploring Buenos Aires on your program, you’ll also learn more about Argentina with our included excursions north to Iguazu Falls and south to “La Pampa.” You’ll also get to learn the local culture with Tango dance lessons.

Argentina is the largest Spanish-speaking country in the world and the second largest nation in South America. It’s known for its grapes, its grass-fed cattle (tasty beef), and its European-infused architecture. But even if you’re a vegetarian who doesn’t drink wine or like looking at buildings, the sophisticated and sincerely Latin culture ensures a good time will be had in this vibrant country.

Geographically, Argentina is very similar to the United States. It covers a vast area of land, some parts always with snow and others humid and thick with vegetation. Culturally, the country is also like the United States in its mix of people. Locals from Buenos Aires are very cosmopolitan and into the latest fashion and fancy footwear. And agrarian workers out west are more in tune with their natural surroundings, even using different words and phrases than their capital city counterparts.

In the end, travel and explore as much of Argentina as you can. We take you to some of our favorite places but there are even more amazing places to see and experience. Buenos Aires may be the most well known, but see Tierra del Fuego for the glaciers, Salta for red rock formations while riding horseback, and Mendoza for tasty wine.
