Onsite Coordinator
Meet Richard!
Richard Burton is the Panrimo coordinator for Florence, Italy. He will assist you throughout your program. Richard will pick you up at the airport, take you to your housing, lead you on your Next Day Orientation, help you get situated at the University, guide you on your excursion and immersion activities and more! He’s excited to show you around Florence and is available 24/7 for any of your needs.
Richard Burton is the son of an Italian War Bride from Florence and an American G.I. from Upstate New York where he grew up. As a child he made frequent visits to Florence to visit his relatives. He relocated to Florence in 1989 to pursue his love of art. He works in a variety of mediums and his work ranges from oil painting, logo design and illustration. In his time in Italy he has also explored other creative outlets such as theatre both acting and making prop designs and has been involved in film.
Having lived in both the U.S. and Italy for a number of years he likes to think of himself as a cultural bridge when helping individuals who are experiencing Florence or Italy for the first time. He's a people person and he looks forward to meeting students and he wants them to get the most out of their Italy experience.
