What's Included
With Panrimo, the study or intern abroad experience begins well before you leave home and continues past the end of your Panrimo program. Below is a description of the benefits everyone receives by being in a Panrimo program:
Before You Depart
Personal Advisor
Everyone is assigned a Panrimo advisor, not a “team.” This is part of our personalized approach to overseas experiences. A personal advisor assists your son or daughter with the admissions process and program selection, and answers any questions you may have regarding the course work, university amenities, work culture, and pre-travel preparation.
Financial Aid Guidance
Panrimo assists your son or daughter in securing financial aid by acting as a resource for grant and scholarship information. Panrimo staff also assist with preparation and filing of the Consortium Agreement for transfer of financial aid. Financial assistance also includes help with preparation of travel budget and integration with the home university to ensure timely disbursement.
Pre-Departure Orientation Booklet
Written by Panrimo staff and with tips and advice from traveled Panroamers, your son or daughter receive a 100+ page orientation booklet covering important themes. These themes range from how to mentally prepare oneself for life abroad, what and how to pack, to specifics on countries, like cultural nuances in each city, places to visit and avoid, and more.
Credit Transfer Assistance
Right from the start, Panrimo works with your son or daughter and their advisors to secure the most seamless transfer of course credit possible. Panrimo provides them with forms to help expedite the process, and will even arrange phone conferences between the host university and the home study or intern abroad office when more detailed information is required.
Visa and Passport Application Assistance
Visa and passport application assistance are part of the complete Panrimo package. We let students know when and how to apply, plus ensure that any visa requirements are fulfilled before departure.
Personalized Questionnaire
Every student comes to a study or intern abroad program with various skills, expectations, and needs. Our questionnaire helps us suggest abroad opportunities unique to each student.
Tailor-Made Entry Packet
Before students leave on the program, we provide them with an entry packet that is personalized for each student, and includes vital information, such as coordinator contact information, emergency, housing, and insurance information, maps of the housing and university, and personal suggestions and tips gathered through conversations with them.
While You're Abroad
Tuition, Fees, Campus Amenities or Competitive Internship Placement
All tuition, fees and campus amenities are included. If applying for an internship, the internship placement is included. All universities are fully accredited and make transferring credit easy.
Housing – Homestay, Shared Apartment or Residence Hall
Included in the Panrimo Program is housing. Depending on the program, you have the choice of (1) living with a host family that prepares two meals daily five times weekly; (2) living in a furnished apartment equipped with a kitchen (bed, linen, cooking supplies included) with up to four Panrimo students; or (3) upgrade to a private bedroom in a furnished apartment shared with Panrimo students; (4) living in on-campus residence halls with local students.
Excursions and Cultural Immersion Activities
Panrimo includes excursions and cultural immersion activities for all of the programs. These vary from program to program, but are chosen based on cultural importance, educational potential, safety, and, of course, to ensure enjoyment. Panrimo covers all transportation fees, entrance fees, and personalized guided tours.
Onsite Coordinator
Panroamers enjoy the benefits of an onsite coordinator. Students also receive bi-weekly email correspondence from the onsite coordinator suggesting things to see and do, acting as a cultural bridge in a new city. Panrimo onsite coordinators are local experts enhancing the Panrimo experience and are available 24/7 for student assistance.
Airport Pick-Up and Transfer
The Panrimo coordinator will meet students at the airport and take them to their housing upon arrival. This ensures that no one is left to get around by their own means. Students become acquainted and comfortable with their coordinator before meeting the following day to attend the arrival orientation.
Next Day Orientation
The day after students arrive, their Panrimo coordinator will guide them around the city, providing them with information about transportation, food, currency, hospital locations and safety measures, and other necessary information. They will also address issues concerning the local culture, including perceptions of foreigners, student perceptions of the host country, and areas to avoid.
International Health Insurance
Be covered for any accidents that may occur during our Panrimo program. Our staff enrolls students in HTH Worldwide medical health insurance from the first day to last during your program. Some key benefits include doctors visits and ER coverage, evacuation, emergency family connection benefit, travel interruption benefit, and more.
When You Return
Panroamer Travel Club
The Panroamer Travel Club provides tools and services for graduated Panroamers. These include airport pick-up for life, access to coordinators in partner cities, letters of recommendation, overseas university transcript archives, visa and passport assistance for future travel, tips on smart travelling, and access to Panrimo’s excursions and cultural immersion activities. Please refer to the Panroamer Travel Club section for more information.
Transcripts from Host University
Course grades and transcripts come in original form from the host university. They are sent to Panrimo's office about ten weeks after the Panrimo program ends. We then forward them directly to the student's study abroad office. We ensure academic integrity is maintained through the process, and let advisors see all original copies of transcripts.
