Paul Green
Founder and Executive Director
Who are you?
I am a husband, father, traveler, golfer and a huge Detroit Tigers fan.
What was one thing you learned about yourself during your time abroad?
I learned that you are capable of a lot more than you thought you were. From figuring out the simple things, like buying groceries, to buying passes for travel, to the larger things, how to deal with fatigue, the unknown, and culture shock.
What’s your most memorable moment while abroad?
It was in Oia, Santorini, Greece, and I was sitting with my wife watching the sunset on the cliff. It was a moment of peace and appreciation. Being in a place with those you love while experiencing an everyday occurrence, but knowing how lucky you are to be in that moment and have the opportunity to see the beauty of the world.
What’s next on your travel bucket list?
To many places to count! But I’m extremely intrigued by Mongolia, Madagascar and Greenland. So one of those three.
