19 Sep Panrimo happily welcomes our new staff members!

Detroit has seen a lot of changes in recent months, with some setbacks, but many more positive developments. The city’s social climate has soared as downtown Detroit’s Campus Martius was turned into a beach for the summer. Speakers mounted on the Compuware Building boomed music curated by patrons of local restaurants, players packed the sand volleyball courts, and the sounds of the Detroit Tiger’s roared in the background from Comerica Park. Down on the Riverfront, day camps brought kids in throngs along the Detroit River, playing in the fountains and lounging in the parks. An energy that’s been lost for years finally feels like it’s returning.

Panrimo’s home base in Detroit has also seen many changes. We’ve added new programs, updated our logo, redesigned an entirely new catalog for 2014, and introduced a fantastic new lookbook, giving a brief glimpse into our aesthetics, ideas, and passions. We even added a skylight to the office!

Vitamin D!

But these changes are secondary when it comes to the brilliant new minds that we’ve added to our staff. We are incredibly pleased to welcome four new members to our staff, and want to recognize them accordingly! Say hello to our new staff members below:

Craig VanderMuellen – Internship Abroad Program Manager

Working from our home base in Detroit, MI, Craig has a passion for education and travel. He hopes to fuse these passions while managing Panrimo’s internship programs. Craig graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership: Higher Education and Student Affairs. He enjoys listening to live music, seeking out new coffee houses, and finding new cultural experiences.

Ellen Knuth – Midwest University Relations Manager

Ellen also works out of our Detroit office and frequently travels to visit our partner schools in the Midwest. After studying abroad in Japan during her education at Western Michigan University, Ellen decided to return to Japan for four years, working as an English teacher for ages three through eighty in the Tottori prefecture. As the former lead singer of Kassama Rock Band, Ellen obviously enjoys music, as well as dancing, reading, and sports. As a now repatriated ex-pat, Ellen loves traveling and encourages others to do the same.

Dominic Palazzolo – West Coast University Relations Manager

Working from Panrimo’s office in San Francisco, CA, Dominic represents Panrimo’s study and intern abroad programs up and down the West Coast of the United States. As a former client development specialist for Gucci, Dominic has traveled to Europe for many years, forging relationships with textile manufacturers. Dominic received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Western Michigan University and studied abroad in Spain during his education.

Bonnie Bentley – Administrative Assistant

Bonnie, Panrimo’s administrative assistant, is the unsung hero of our office. Bonnie keeps the office running, organizing, scanning and completing paperwork, stocking supplies, and keeping a humorous tone throughout the office. Bonnie is excited to be a part of the downtown Detroit scene, and her favorite parts of city life include jogging through downtown each morning, attending Detroit Tigers baseball games, frequenting the various theaters downtown, and samples Detroit’s local craft brews.
