The land of fire and ice, Iceland’s dramatic scenery combines the power of volcanoes with the frozen beauty of glaciers. This is your chance to explore the world of the Norse bards and the Vikings. Travel North!
Reykjavik is one of the greenest, safest, and cleanest cities ever founded. Adjacent to dormant volcanoes, gorgeous hot spring pools, and massive ice fields, it’s also a great place to dance the night away when the sun doesn’t go down.
Whale Watching
Enjoy a few hours out on the water where you can look for minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises, humpback whales, and maybe even puffins!
Golden Circle
What is time spent in Iceland without touring the famous Golden Circle? Here you can watch the Strokkur geyser shoot a column of water almost 100 ft. into the air every 4-8 minutes, see the Gullfoss (Golden Falls) waterfall, and visit the Thingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet.
Glacial Hike
Jökulsárlón Glacier Exploration
There is no truer way to experience Iceland than by hiking on the glaciers, which gave the country its name. A local guide will help you explore the ice field and will teach you to use crampons as you traverse the tricky terrain.
Game of Thrones Tour
Experience Iceland just like the cast of Game of Thrones did. Follow the trail of the Wildlings from North of the Wall at Þingvellir National Park, visit the Viking Lodge, see where the Night's Watch men are attacked by the White Walkers, and experience the land of the Seven Kingdoms as you've seen it.

Local Transportation
While Reykjavik is the largest city in Iceland, it's still very walkable. For the reluctant pedestrian, Reykjavik's bus system is clean, safe, and efficient. Called "Strætó," it services not only all areas of the city, but the rest of the country as well. Tickets can be purchased at any station, as well as on the bus itself. Frequent riders should consider investing in a 9-ticket card to save money.

It's no surprise that Iceland’s official language is Icelandic. A Germanic language which can trace its origins back to Old Norse, Icelandic boasts a vocabulary full of words developed specifically for the lexicon, as opposed to borrowed from other languages. Swedish, Norwegian, German, French, and Russian are also very popular in Iceland, so don’t be surprised if your co-workers speak a few languages!

Reykjavik, located on the Southeastern coast, doesn't experience the same temperature extremes and snowfall that regions to the North forecast. Average summer temperatures are in the 50s, with winter temps dropping to the 20s and 30s. Spring and Fall average in the 40s, so no matter what time of year you plan to visit, pack a sweater!
